Richmond, Virginia and Tri-City Area’s first Boys Basketball AAU Program.

Founded in 1987/1988 season, three alumni are presently playing in the NBA; Ray Allen and

Kevin Garnett of Boston Celtics and Amar´e Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns.

Three have played in the NFL, and over 300 have received college scholarships.

Awards & Achievements

Ø First AAU Program in Central Virginia to be sponsored by a National Shoe Company

Ø First to receive Community Service Awards from: Richmond Public Schools, Richmond City Council, and the Richmond Times Dispatch.

Ø First to have a resolution passed in the General Assembly in the program’s name.

Ø Astoria Club Citizenship Award

Our organization, its coaches, administrative staff, and parents are committed to spiritual and moral growth of boys, creating an environment through the discipline of basketball whereby they can develop into young men who are good citizens, and role models in their family, schools and community.

Did You Know?

Since 1987, more than 300 young men have received scholarships from colleges and universities; 150 have received scholarships to attend prep schools. Some have gained worldwide recognition, including prominent NBA players Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics, and Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns; two NFL players, Darren Sharper of the Minnesota Vikings and Johnathan Lewis of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In addition, 75 athletics have participated in the International Pro League in Europe.
